| Recent developments
- I got a new milk tea shop right outside my apartment complex and a new Korean restaurant around the corner from my house so I'm jazzed.
- I have mid-terms next week. Think of me as I try to remember all 语法 (grammar) and the hundreds of characters I supposedly learner to write over the past 8 weeks.
- My parents are coming to China in 10 days - cool! I'll be playing tour guide in Beijing during May holiday.
- I'm looking for English teachers (I got a promotion and this is now part of my job). Are you interested in coming to Shanghai? Let me know!

| I'm an uncle!
Jason Clark Martin arrived last night (well it was night in China). I
couldn't get the picture to load correctly, but you get the idea. Here
he is being held by Grandpa. Thanks for the pics, Miriam!

| Due to a small earthquake south of Taiwan affecting some undersea
cable, Xanga (and a lot of other foreign based sites) haven't been
funtioning well, thus no Christmas pictures.
So, instead photos, I give you the word of the year "plutoed". This is according to
the renown American Dialect Society. The definition of "pluto" is
"to demote or devalue someone or something." For example "Please
don't pluto me for failing to post Christmas pictures."
